In an effort to encourage developer awareness and participation, GTE has committed a significant portion of its marketing budget to the development and support of the SmartPark Co-Marketing Partnership Program. With this investment, GTE is confident in the program’s ability to become yet another vital part of the GTE organization.

Any GTE SmartPark Services Authorized Agent under current contract with the GTE SmartPark Co-Marketing Partnership Program may receive co-op payments under terms of the program. Reimbursement levels for co-op participants shall vary according to the activity and content of advertising.

A claim may be submitted for advertisements in the following media:

Special Media Considerations
Alternatives to the media listed may be acceptable for co-op reimbursement but must have the approval of a GTE SmartPark Account Representative prior to execution. An outline of the program should be submitted containing itemized cost, versions, copy and any creative concepts intended for use.

Tradeshows
Prior approval must be obtained prior to tradeshow to be eligible for co-marketing reimbursement. A submission of the following is also required: show or display contract with an itemized listings of cost and dates; a photograph of the booth or display; and proof of payment. Incidental costs such as furniture rentals, electricity, set-up and carpet are not eligible for reimbursement.

The GTE SmartPark Account Representative will provide notification of whether or not the special media activities and materials will qualify for co-marketing participation. Absolutely no claims for special media advertising will be honored without prior approval from the GTE Account Representative

Co-Marketing Reimbursement Funds Appropriation

The appropriation of co-marketing funds is based on the allocated GTE SmartPark space in a given advertisement medium. GTE SmartPark Services will reimburse for the portion of the ad dedicated to GTE products and services only. The actual percentage of reimbursement may vary (increase) based on the ad content, and is at GTE Headquarters discretion.



The above is a representation of a print ad. Since 25% of the ad is allocated for GTE SmarkPark Services, 25% of the eligible ad cost will be reimbursed by the GTE SmartPark Services Co-Marketing funds.




How to Submit a Claim

Pre-approval
Fax or mail the ad layout or event information to the your GTE Account Representative along with a
GTE SmartPark Services Co-Marketing Pre-Approval Form (download or print the provided Adobe Acrobat Reader file). Additional information may be required before the pre-approval. Any revisions or corrections must be submitted for final pre-approval. Approval will be provided in either an email response or a signed fax of the final layout.

Ad Requirements
1. Print advertisements smaller than 2 column by 2" will not qualify for reimbursement.
2. Only ads containing the GTE SmartPark Services logo or mention of GTE SmartPark Services within the copy will be eligible for co-marketing funds.
3. Ad must be in compliance with all GTE and GTE SmartPark Services Logo Standards to be eligable for co-marketing funds.

General Guidelines:
1. Use the
GTE SmartPark Services Co-Marketing Claim Form (in Adobe Acrobat Reader format) when requesting co-marketing reimbursement.
2. All pre-approved advertising must be submitted with a
GTE SmartPark Services Co-Marketing Claim Form (in Adobe Acrobat Reader format) for reimbursement in accordance with the GTE SmartPark Services rules and regulations.
3. Claim Forms must be submitted within 90 days after the ad has run or the event has taken place to be eligible for co-marketing reimbursement.
4. All claims must be provided with a sample of the advertisement (press-sheet, script or final layout, etc.).
5. All claims must be presented with proof-of-performance. A paid invoice or a copy of a check payment is required.
6. Co-marketing claims must be pre-approved by a GTE SmartPark Services Account Representative in order for payment to be made. Without prior approval, a maximum of 50% of the reimbursement level may be paid.
7. All required attachments are necessary for claims to be processed. If not attached, the claim may be returned for resubmission.
8. Please allow 45 days from receipt of claim for reimbursement to be issued.
9. If a co-marketing claim is made, but does not have sufficient co-marketing funds, then reimbursement up to the available amount in the account will be made.

Incentives

In addition to monetary compensation, GTE would like to offer incentive programs and other alternatives that reinforce strategic partnership development and involvement between SmartPark participants and GTE. Programs include but are not limited to the following:

Free publicity awarded based on point system to be developed by GTE-baker’s dozen concepts.




Disclosure

All advertisements incorporating the GTE SmartPark Services logo or mentioning GTE SmartPark Services must be submitted for approval, regardless of whether or not a submission for co-marketing payment is planned.

All co-marketing ads and media using the GTE SmartPark Services name must be approved by a GTE SmartPark Services Account Representative.

GTE SmartPark Services reserves the right to terminate this co-marketing advertising program at any time with payment allowed for those advertising expenses incurred prior to the termination date.

GTE SmartPark Services reserves the right to change the co-op advertising program rules and regulations.

By submitting a co-marketing claim, the advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, GTE and its subsidiaries from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) by reason of any and all actions or proceedings charging GTE or its subsidiaries with violations of any laws, rules, or regulations directed to the content, fairness or deceptiveness or the advertisement for which a claim is filed.
